The Chill Continues For A Little Longer
Submitted by Ken Weathers on April 29, 2008 - 2:56pm.
We were within "1" degree of tying a record low this morning at McGhee-Tyson Airport when we bottomed out at 34 degrees (the record remains 33 set in 1992). The chill will continue the rest of the afternoon (highs in the upper 50s) as we see a mix of clouds and only a little bit of sunshine. The clouds should thin out tonight and with a light wind, we once again could see a light freeze or scattered frost across portions of the viewing area. The good news is that we rebound quickly by Wednesday afternoon with more sunshine and a southerly wind and the warm up continues the rest of the week.
