The Thaw Begins Later Today

Hopefully this will be the last cold start of the season with most areas in the 30s. We will see a quick recovery though today and the rest of the week. Look for a mostly sunny afternoon and a return to a southerly wind pushing highs up to near 70. The Southwest wind is a lot stronger for Thursday and Friday, so you can expect highs in the upper 70s to near 80 range. A threat for scattered storms returns late Friday into early Saturday, but the weekend does not look like a washout.
