Tornado Watch Until 7:00pm

Showers and thunderstorms move into the region late this afternoon ahead of a slow moving cold front.  A TORNADO WATCH is in effect for McMinn, Monroe, Meigs and Rhea counties until 7:00pm.  A WATCH means strong thunderstorms are possible that "could" produce tornadoes.  The best chance for tornadoes remains in the southern valley into Georgia and Alabama.  Stay tuned to WATE for additional watch and warning information.
